WHOSE LIVE ANYWAY? is 90 minutes of hilarious improvised comedy and song all based on audience suggestions. Cast members Ryan Stiles, Greg Proops, Jeff B. Davis, and Joel Murray will leave you gasping with the very witty scenes they invent before your eyes. Audience participation is key to the show so bring your suggestions and you might be asked to join the cast onstage! WHOSE LIVE ANYWAY? showcases some of the improv games made famous on the long-running TV show as well as some exciting new ones, featuring musical direction by Laura Hall.

All ages are welcomed, but please note that some “PG-13” language will be used during the performance.

Rock armoring is a fundamental skill for those who spend any amount of time building trail in the mountain state. Intro to Rock Armor covers why, where and how to set stones to protect the trail from weather and visitor-caused erosion. This is an advanced level training for those with an understanding of the trail building process will gain the most from this workshop. It is highly recommended attendees have participated in Intro to Trail Building.

Get ready for a day of bubbly fun and hands-on discovery! During Bubble Blast Day, families can head to the Susan Runyon Maier Sculpture Garden to experiment with larger-than-life bubbles using a variety of wands and tools designed to create bubbles of all shapes and sizes.

Inside Makerspace, young creators will also have the opportunity to design and build their own bubble wand using 3D pens, then test it and take it home for even more bubble fun.

Guests will explore the simple science behind bubbles and learn how surface tension helps create these floating works of art.

Following Highway Prayers, Strings released an exclusive Apple Music Nashville Sessions EP featuring reworked songs from the record as well as a surprise collaborative album, Live at the Legion, with Bryan Sutton (stream/purchase here). Recorded live on April 7, 2024 at Nashville’s American Legion Post 82, the album showcases the acclaimed duo performing 20 traditional bluegrass and folk songs, including new renditions of Bob Dylan’s “Don’t Think Twice, It’s Alright,” Doc Watson’s “Way Downtown” and more.

In support of the music, Strings recently performed on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, was featured on NPR’s Fresh Air and appeared on The Howard Stern Show, where he performed “Escanaba” and spoke with the host. Ahead of his spring run, Strings will continue his extensive headline tour through the winter with stops at Louisville’s KFC Yum! Three Rivers Avian Center (TRAC) is a private 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to wild bird conservation and educating and involving people in ecosystem stewardship. Founded in 1990, TRAC’s 110-acre facility is located in the southern portion of the New River Gorge National River, between Sandstone and Hinton in Summers County, West Virginia, and is partly bordered by the New River Gorge National River. https://tracwv.org/

Spring Hill Cemetery Park and Arboretum were designated as bird sanctuary in 1916, thanks to the efforts of then State Ornithologist, I.H Johnston. Its 192 acres, provides varied habitats, attracting numerous different birds and the internal paved roads and trails make it a popular place for walkers and bird watchers. This time of year, is a busy time as there are many returning home and passing through migratory birds.

Izrael H Johnston (1869-1947) is buried in the Cemetery, and his tombstone is engraved with the word ‘Naturalist’.
In 1923 he wrote 'Birds of West Virginia’ which was published by The West Virginia Department of Agriculture. Mr. Johnson was instrumental in having the Bald Eagle removed from the ‘varmint’ list in WV. While he admitted it was a predatory bird, he saw no sense in it being called the national bird if people could kill it. He also travelled to Washington DC and petitioned State Senator Jennings Randolph for it to be put on National Preservation Lists.
In 1924 he took a trip to Mississippi with his daughter Mary Balle, to film birds. A Winfield Taxidermist Signery Morgan towed Mr. Johnson’s houseboat with his sternwheeler the ‘Eugene’. Mr. Morgan stuffed birds for the State Museum and his own private collection.
In 1925 he started filming birds with a desire to make a film to show children the life of a Cardinal. He had been told by his father that he should develop a trade as birding would never pay. So Mr Johnston also owned and operated a tailor shop at 308 Virginia Street in Charleston. In 1939 after 20 years as State Ornithologist, he left Charleston to go and film birds in California.
In 1895 Izrael Johnstone built a two-story bungalow-style cottage of painted clapboards on Myrtle Rd. Owing to Johnston's nickname of "The Bird Man", the birds he attracted to his garden, and kept in the house, it became known as ‘Bird Haven. It is one of the oldest frame-built houses in the area and exhibits late Victorian features such as a 3-sided front bay window and a front and back parlor area. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

“Mountaineer,” Nakashima’s almost-lost, 1995 documentary, is a cult classic
that takes aim at West Virginia's often-misunderstood culture

"Mountaineer" challenges widespread "hillbilly" stereotypes through interviews with prominent West Virginians such as Poet Laureate Irene McKinney, historian John Williams, and writers Pinckney Benedict and Denise Giardina. Their insights are inter-cut with a vast archive of film and television clips from the 1920s to the 1990s that showcase how these stereotypes have been portrayed over time. Music by Dwight Diller, Hasil Adkins, The River Cities Boy Choir, The Bing Brothers, and Hot Rize.

One of WV’s finest filmmakers, John Nakashima worked for various West Virginia Public Television iterations for 47 years. His diverse body of work explores West Virginia culture in the broadest sense – including visual, performing arts, music, traditional & modern culture, history, and childhood development. Opening the evening is Huntington, West Virginia’s Friendly Fire, a melodic pop rock band adding a dynamic local edge to the night. Through songs about love, alienation, heartbreak, and redemption, the band evokes an emotional response that few others can replicate.

Members of the Hot 8 Brass Band have toured in Japan, Italy, France, Spain, Finland, England and Sardinia. The band performs annually at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival and at world and jazz festivals across the US and Europe. Members of the band have been featured in both Spike Lee documentaries, When the Levees Broke and If God is Willing and Da Creek Don’t Rise. The band was also featured in the second season of the HBO series Tremé. They appeared at The Apollo with Dr. John, Lou Reed, Nicolas Payton and others for the annual Great Day in Harlem. The Hot 8 has released three critically acclaimed recordings and is featured on the latest Blind Boys of Alabama recording on Time-Life Records.

One of the most popular artists in modern country music, Vince Gill is famous for his top-notch songwriting, world-class guitar playing and warm, soaring tenor, all wrapped up in a quick and easy wit. Gill achieved his big breakthrough in 1990 with “When I Call Your Name,” which won both the Country Music Association’s (CMA) Single and Song of the Year awards as well as a Grammy for Best Country Vocal Performance, Male. Since then, Gill has won 17 additional CMA Awards, including Song of the Year four times – making him the most-awarded artist in that category in CMA history, and a total of 22 Grammy Awards, his most recent one for Best Country Solo Performance – “When My Amy Prays.” The Academy of Country Music has conferred on Gill eight awards, including its Home Depot Humanitarian Award and the Career Achievement Award.

A gifted songwriter, Gill’s compositions earned him the prestigious BMI Icon award in 2014, and entry into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2005.

In 2007, Gill was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame, and in 2012 he was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame which was placed in cement right next to his wife Amy Grant’s star. In 1991, Gill was invited to become a member of The Grand Ole Opry, a position he treasures. He continues to perform on that historic stage on a regular basis.

Throughout his career he has released 20 albums, sold over 30 million albums, and charted 45 singles.

Known for his many collaborations, Gill has made guest appearances on more than 1000 albums, and has performed and/or recorded with artists such as Barbra Streisand, James Taylor, Sting, Emmylou Harris, Diana Krall, Jimmy Webb, Bruno Mars, Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton, and George Jones. His collaborative efforts also include albums he has produced for Amy Grant, Ashley Monroe, The Time Jumpers and Wendy Moten.

Always considering himself a musician above all else, Gill has over the years been a part of some iconic bands including Pure Prairie League, The Cherry Bombs, and The Time Jumpers. In 2017 Vince was asked to join the Eagles on the road and continues to be a part of that historic band’s tour.

Gill’s current album, the critically acclaimed OKIE, is his most personal album, as he sings about his wife in prayer, about kindness and forgiveness, about his heroes in death, and about his own loves, joys, and regrets.

The tour announcement comes in celebration of the band’s upcoming 21st studio album, In The Bay, set for release on June 12. The ever-prolific duo, J.D. Andrew and Bud Thornton, continue to showcase their deep-rooted influences from the golden era of rock, drawing inspiration from icons like The Beatles and The Beach Boys while carving out a distinct sound all their own.

“In The Bay is our 21st release,” says Thornton. “It’s our humble attempt at making our ‘Pet Sounds’—inspired by time spent in Morro Bay, California, and shaped by the music that’s always influenced us.”

The album features lush instrumentation and experimental production techniques, including contributions from longtime collaborator Teddy Andreadis. Fans can expect a live performance that blends new material with the band’s expansive catalog, honed over nearly two decades of touring.

Since forming in 2006, The Boxmasters have built a passionate international following, performing across the United States, Canada, and Europe. They’ve shared stages with legendary acts including The Who, ZZ Top, Steve Miller, and George Thorogood, and have played iconic venues such as The Ryman Auditorium and The Cavern Club in Liverpool. In 2026, they will also make their debut at the renowned Stagecoach Festival.

The duo’s recently released collaboration project REBOOT debuted at No. One on Billboard’s Top Country Albums. The impressive feat marks the first time the duo has topped the album charts since 2009 while simultaneously earning the duo their 10th Billboard 200 Top 10 album, the most of any country duo or group in the chart’s history. Tig’s HBO standup special, DRAWN, made history as the first-ever fully animated stand-up special, and was nominated for a Hollywood Critics Association Award. She was previously nominated for an Emmy and a Grammy Award for her 2016 HBO special BOYISH GIRL INTERRUPTED, a GLAAD Award nomination for the Netflix Original Documentary TIG, and her memoir I’m Just a Person is a New York Times Bestseller. In 2013, Tig was also nominated for a Grammy for her sophomore release, LIVE, which was the #1 selling comedy album in the world that year. LIVE is a stand-up set delivered just days after Tig was diagnosed with invasive bilateral breast cancer, from which she is now in remission. Tig remains a favorite on talk shows, including "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" and "The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon", public radio, and continues to tour internationally.

Tig and her wife, Stephanie Allynne, co-directed the GLAAD nominated feature film, AM I OK?, starring Dakota Johnson and Sinoya Mizuno, which premiered at Sundance 2022 before debuting on HBO Max in June 2024. Tig hosts HANDSOME, a critically acclaimed comedy podcast, alongside fellow comedians and co-hosts Fortune Feimster and Mae Martin. Her latest special, TIG NOTARO: HELLO AGAIN, premiered in March 2024 on Prime Video, garnering multiple Emmy nominations. Additionally, Tig produced the documentary COME SEE ME IN THE GOOD LIGHT, which won the Festival Favorite award at Sundance in 2025 and is set to premiere this fall on Apple TV.

The road that started on the pop music charts in the ‘70’s, took a winding turn into country music in the ‘80’s, paving the way for duos to come, such as Brooks & Dunn, Montgomery Gentry, Big & Rich, and previously—The Judds. But before the road forked into country, the musical odyssey of brothers Bellamy started creatively smoldering in their home state of Florida, before exploding nationally amidst the ’70’s pop music culture of L.A.

Now known by their music and the company they were keeping, The Bellamys officially lifted off the launch pad in 1976 when their single, “Let Your Love Flow,” became an instant smash in both the U.S. and Europe. It stayed on the international charts long enough to build a huge international fan base for the
hip young brothers that endures to this day. In Germany alone it perched at #1 for more than two months. The love was indeed flowing as The Bellamys jammed for audiences on their sold-out concerts and shared stages with the likes of Loggins & Messina, the Doobie Brothers, and the Beach Boys, with their patented blend of rock/country music.

True to their musical roots, their style and their songwriting was moving steadily more towards their raising. By the late ‘70’s The Bellamys were emerging on the country charts with another bona fide smash. “If I Said You Had A Beautiful Body (Would You Hold It Against Me),” originally scrawled on a dinner napkin by David, rocketed them to the top of the country charts the way “Let Your Love Flow,” had
done in the pop market just a few years earlier. It proved to be the first of a string of fourteen #1 singles in the U.S. alone.

Success followed success: “Dancing Cowboys,” “Sugar Daddy,” “You Ain’t Just Whistlin’ Dixie,” “Lovers Live Longer,” “Do You Love As Good As You Look,” “Redneck Girl,” “For All The Wrong Reasons,” “I Love Her Mind,” “I Need More Of You,” “Old Hippie,” “Too Much Is Not Enough,” “Kids Of The Baby Boom,” and “Reggae Cowboy” and “Crazy From The Heart,”…all have lined the corridors of the Bellamy’s musical history and their walls with platinum and gold.

The Bellamy Brothers latest project is their new album titled '40 Years' is an ambitious project that celebrates their career with 20 of their biggest hits and then adds 20 brand new songs in this 2 cd anniversary collection.

Each walk is a powerful reminder that no one has to face these challenges alone. It turns awareness into action—funding research, education programs, advocacy, and support for those impacted.

There will be community resources for mental health, addiction and recovery, veterans, milirary and first responders and much more.

Suicide is currently the number 2 cause of death in WV for those ages 10-34 and WV ranks 13th in the nation with suicide rates. The Out of the Darkness Walks are an important community event dedicated to bring hope and healing in our state and save lives.
