Just in time for fall, learn how to make a primitive cobweb broom in the traditional Appalachian style!

This lightweight narrow broom is great for reaching all the places cobwebs can be found including sweeping the ceiling. These brooms are not only functional but also make great decorative items and gifts! In this workshop, you will learn the basic weaving techniques used to make a broom, with natural broomcorn (sorghum).

Everyone will go home with 1–2 completed cobweb brooms. No experience required. Ages 10 and up, under 12 to be accompanied by an adult. Limited space is available, advanced registration is required. Registration is $45 for Clay Center members, $55 for non-members, all supplies included.
