Join GRAMMY winners Cathy Fink & Marcy Marxer with Chinese Hammered Dulcimer player Chao Tian in a participatory concert of songs from China, Appalachia and beyond. Learn to yodel, learn sign language to a song and sing along. The band will give an in-person tour of their instruments: Chinese dulcomer (yangqin), mandolin, five-string banjo, cello banjo and the "Four Treasures" percussion. This is a free event co-sponsored by the Kanawha County Public Library and KV FOOTMAD preceding the evening ticketed concert at the Capitol Theater, 123 Summers Street. Both performances are partially funded by Mid Atlantic Arts and Fund for the Arts.
