Manna Meal’s annual bean stringing event will return to the Capitol Market from 10AM to 2PM on August 7th! Our streak was interrupted in 2020 due to the pandemic, so we’re extra excited to come back together for this year’s event.
Taking part is easy! Just show up at the market and buy a bag or two of green beans from West Virginia growers, then sit down with us and string them while enjoying a little live music and conversation with neighbors. You’re welcome to bring a chair of your own, or you can claim a spot on a hay bale. Blankets will be available, along with a limited number of chairs from the market. After the event, Manna Meal will freeze the beans for use throughout the year.
We hope you’ll join us as we gather to support local farmers and provide food for the most vulnerable members of our community!
Saturday, August 7 at 10:00am to 2:00pm
