The latest exhibit at the West Virginia Culture Center disproves the old saying that beauty is only skin deep. “Pageantry with a Purpose: Celebrating 75 Years of the Miss West Virginia America Pageant” features not only the gowns, crowns and swimsuits of former Miss West Virginias, but also focuses on their platforms and the positive impacts they made on the state.
Artifacts from approximately 20 former Miss West Virginias are on display at the Culture Center at the State Capitol Complex through Aug. 24. The exhibit is free and open to the public during regular operating hours.
