Join us for an illuminating journey through the fascinating phases of a star's life in the Caperton Planetarium & Theater. Our presentation begins with the birth of stars in stellar nurseries as we explore the process of nucleosynthesis, through which stars forge the elements that make up our universe. Next, we'll age with the stars as they transition to radically different sizes, and you'll be amazed as we discuss the final stages of star life and how stars leave their spectacular marks on the cosmos.

This presentation is perfect for any individual who has a deep interest in astrophysics and astronomy.

This presentation is led by our Planetarium and Science Educator, Shannon Silverman who studies high-energy astrophysics, with a particular focus on neutron stars. She graduated from the University of North Dakota and the University of North Florida.
