Learn what inspires and drives some of your favorite area professionals at this live monthly speaker series. Guests include Jim Strawn, director Jason Adams, and chef Mary Brent Galyean.
Jim Strawn – Marketing Strategist, etc. - A WV Wesleyan graduate, Jim is the Owner and President of Jim Strawn & Company. He is also an author, TV Show Host, Blogger, Event Planner, Emcee, Fundraiser, Radio Personality, and University Professor. Strawn has been awarded numerous awards for his service acts including Volunteer of the Year for the Mental Health Association in 1999, Social Responsibility Award from YMCA in 2015, and The Jefferson Award.
Mary Brent Galyean – Chef – Specializing in Outdoor and Adventure Cooking, Mary Brent works as an Expedition Chef. During her career she has traveled through the Amazon, the Andes and Antarctica, to name just a few locations. This graduate of George Washington High is employed at Adventures on the Gorge in Fayetteville and has been a contestant on TV’s “Chopped”.
Jason Adams – Director/Filmmaker – (Taken from his website) “Jason Adams is a filmmaker with a real love for connecting audiences to a story and a knack for writing his own bio in the third person. He has been creating films for 16 years and has even been pretty good at it for about two. Jason loves collaborating with companies and agencies of all sizes to tell stories. He has worked in various on-set roles for such shows as E News, Extreme Makeover Home Edition, VH1’s On This Day in Music and the Emmy winning House of Cards.”
