2018 marks the 200th anniversary of the publication of Mary Shelley’s “Frankenstein.” To commemorate the bicentennial of the novel, Dr. Thomas Kiddie will present a free public lecture on the book. Topics of discussion will include the story’s enduring influence, its ethical considerations, and its impact on popular culture. All attendees of the lecture will receive a free copy of the book to enjoy at their leisure or for more intensive study. Dr. Kiddie is Associate Professor of English at West Virginia State University. He is well-versed in “Frankenstein” and has previously taught the novel in class.
